Tai Chi
Tai Chi began in the Wudang mountains of China between the tenth and seventeenth centuries with many of it's more distinctive aspects arising during the fall of the Ming Dynasty.

I'm happy to talk more about the history if anybody wants to know. The Style I practice is from the Wu family and was founded in the 19th century during the final imperial dynasty in China. Like all Tai Chi it's known for it's slow, dance like movements, low stances and it's form.

The more practical aspects of training include things like: partner drills, 'push hands,' conditioning, breath work and, depending on what people want to learn, some mat skills, throwing, joint locking and striking.

As with any martial art, the training can be intense and difficult.

The Space
Space is expensive in Seattle. Much like anything else, you buy what you can pay for. Our training space is, well; I guess we'll just call it, 'utilitarian.'

It's hot, humid and cramped. The air doesn't circulate well. Just FYI. Seattle is expensive and whatever else the space is, it's affordable.

It's located in the Chinatown International district.

Currently I'm open to taking students. I'm thinking of teaching Tuesday and Thursday morning, but I am open to considering other times that might work for interested parties. If there's any curiosity, shoot me an email at:
